A previously-unreleased track by Bruce Springsteen has officially been released. Pitchfork reports that “I’ll Stand by You” appears on the soundtrack to Blinded by the Light, a new coming-of-age film directed by Gurinder Chadha with a plot heavily centered on Springsteen’s music. Springsteen said back in 2016 that the track was inspired by Harry Potter, but was rejected from the films. “It’s pretty good,” Springsteen said at the time. “At some point I’d like to get it into a children’s movie of some sort.” The soundtrack also includes live takes on “The Promised Land,” “The River,” and “Thunder Road.” Blinded by the Light hits U.S. theaters on August 16.
