Rod Stewart says he's "in the clear" and in remission after fighting prostate cancer for the past two years. The 74-year-old singer was reportedly diagnosed with the disease after a routine health checkup in February 2016.
People reports that he revealed the news at a Prostate Project fundraiser alongside former Faces bandmates Ronnie Wood and Kenny Jones. “Two years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. No one knows this, but I thought this was about time I told everybody," he said at the event in England. "I’m in the clear, now, simply because I caught it early." He added, “Guys, you’ve really got to go to the doctor. If you’re positive, and you work through it and you keep a smile on your face…I’ve worked for two years and I’ve just been happy, and the good Lord looked after me.” He's reportedly been in remission since July.
