Organizers of the troubled Woodstock 50 festival are reportedly “in discussions with another venue” after Watkins Glen International announced on Monday it would no longer host the event this August. According to Consequence of Sound, Woodstock principal Gregory Peck says the event is still scheduled for August 16-18 and that the are looking “forward to sharing the new location when tickets go on sale in the coming weeks.” Woodstock 50 founder Michael Lang is currently without a venue, a production company, and an artist lineup whose legality is very much in flux. Large scale events of Woodstock’s magnitude require a minimum ticket on-sale window of 100 days, but this year’s event is just 67 days away.
