On Wednesday, Michael McDonald performed a mini-concert for the NPR Tiny Desk concert series, according to UPI. McDonald sang from his home because of COVID-19 social distancing protocols. Getting into the spirit of the Tiny Desk series, he had a hand-drawn "Tiny Desk" poster hanging near him. He sang "Matters of the Heart", one of his solo tunes, before reaching into history for Doobie Brothers classics "Minute by Minute" and "What a Fool Believes." "Wishing you all the best of luck and godspeed through this event we're all living through," he said to those watching. McDonald's former group, the Doobie Brothers, will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on November 7 if all goes well. The Doobie Brothers are also set to go on a 50th anniversary tour that is supposed to start in June. It has not yet been canceled.
