Rocker Eddie Money Passes Away at 70

Eddie Money passed away Friday at the age of 70, Variety reports. The veteran rocker, who recorded such hits as "Baby Hold On," "Two Tickets to Paradise" and Take Me Home Tonight," recently revealed that he'd been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. After Money (real name: Eddie Mahoney) passed away, his family released a statement which read: “The Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.” Money is survived by his wife Laurie and five children, daughter Jesse Money and sons Zachary, Joseph, Desmond, and Julian.
