-Dogs from DAWG

  • About DAWG

DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs awaiting permanent adoption, and promotes their adoption through outreach programs in the Santa Barbara community.

Most of the dogs in our care come from Santa Barbara county shelters. Our primary goal is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county shelters by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life.

Since DAWG’s inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs, improving their quality of life during their stay at the shelter, and placing healthy, well-behaved dogs back into the community.

    Meet Kobe!

Hello everyone, I go by the name of Kobe! I'm a 4 year old Doberman Pincher/Cattle Dog Mix. To no fault of my own I was returned to DAWG and am now waiting for my new home. Before coming to DAWG, I lived around children both big and small; I absolutely loved those little humans! I am very polite around other dogs and would do wonderfully in a home with an experienced dog owner. Some of my favorite things are long runs, walks, or hikes where I can explore the world around me. Once I'm well-excised all I wanna do is cuddle on your lap and keep you company. I truly am a friendly guy that just wants some love, cuddles and exercise! I'm pretty handsome, too, don't you think? Stop by DAWG or give us a call at (805) 681-0561 and learn more about how you can adopt me!
